Other Policies

  • Travel Expenses for each show will be divided by all dogs carried to the show. This means,   meals and lodging for the handlers and assistants. There will be an additional travel expense of $0.20 per mile round trip charge for all shows.
  • Vet charges are the responsibility of the owner of the dog(s). No liability is assumed beyond giving your animal the best possible care and attention.
  • Owners are responsible for making the entries, unless other arrangements have been made. All dogs to be shown by Stephen M Cabral MUST have my names listed as agent. Use AKC Reg. handler #0248 for Stephen Cabral.
  • It is understood that in the event of a scheduling conflict at a show, the handler, at his discretion, may have someone else handle the dog. The client is still responsible for those days handling fees. Dogs traveling with the handler will have priority over all ringside dogs. (Ringside dogs are defined as dogs already groomed, and ready to be taken in to the ring by the handler. Owners will be responsible for presenting them at the ring at the appropriate time. Extra charges will incur if the dog requires extra services.)
  • All prize money won is retained by the handler including; sweepstakes money, cash prizes at shows, and cash from invitational/tournament competitions.

Shot Records

Please provide a current shot record for Rabies, Parvo, DHLP, Bordatella and Corona. Also, make sure your dog is free from worms and fleas. Clients are urged to keep their dogs on Heartworm pills and Program Flea Control pills.

Payment

All fees are due and payable upon receipt of bill. All fees must be paid before your dog is released to you. A $25.00 fee will be charged for any returned checks. A $500.00 retainer is required upon arrival of your dog while it is being boarded, while we show it. On relatively long circuits, clients may be required to pay 1/2 of fee in advance.

Cancellations

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST FIVE DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF ENTRIES TO ALLOW THE HANDLER TO FILL THE CLASS, OTHERWISE, HANDLING FEES WILL BE CHARGED. Certain circumstances will be taken into consideration (i.e. Dogs entered for majors only and emergencies). In the event of any dispute between the parties which arises under this Agreement, such dispute shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules for commercial arbitration of the American Arbitration Association (or a similar organization) in effect at the time such arbitration is initiated. A list of arbitrators shall be presented to the Claimant and Respondent from which one will be chosen using the applicable rules. The hearing shall be conducted in the City of Pasadena, CA, unless both parties consent to a different location. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding upon all Parties.
